ABOUT:
What started as a meme game quickly became reality as it became a mission to release a game—no matter how simple or mundane.
The meme? to "Jump on the Ball"
The plan? Treat it like a college project by simulating the beats of an indie game release:
- Make and release a game around a simple mechanic
- Collaborate with a team, developers, musicians, voice actors
- Use what’s available to you (marketplace assets, MetaHuman editor, etc)
- Each creative choice from font choice to color palette must strengthen “design pillars” of the game
- Give it a main menu, pause menu, three basic levels with transitions
- Give it a marketing cycle (streaming, devlog, TikTok clips, reach out to streamers etc)
- Give it a trailer
We went with Unreal Engine 5 to get a head start in learning the engine - as it lends itself to realism, and we . Check out our Discord for updates on our next game!

We want to make more! What kind of levels do you think would be most fun?
I think keep the same formula, maybe add some areas where this only a small platform to balance the ball on. If the ball falls off you reset. I think adding more challenge each time would be great :)
